I moved to Hertford when I was little and attended Hertford Grammar School. I lived in Perquimans until I went to college in South Carolina and have since moved back to this area with my wife, Casey. In April of 2023 Casey and I welcomed our new son, Lew to our family. I started out at HGS teaching Character Education. Prior to HGS I taught 3rd Grade Reading at Wayne Preparatory Academy in Goldsboro, NC. I am passionate about working with kids and teens to help give them the support and encouragement that they need to become kind and successful in life.

I attended Southern Wesleyan University for my Undergraduate Degree in Christian Ministry and have a Masters Degree in Elementary Education from Elizabeth City State University.  

Some of my favorite hobbies include any activity on the water, playing and watching sports, and spending time with my family and my dog, Fern.
