What are True North's True Colors?

Whether it's walking into a football game or looking at one of our many posters on our beautiful campus, one color jumps out…Yellow! That’s because it's one of our lovely school colors! You might be saying to yourself, “ I thought the colors were black and gold! Why our own digital magazines' colors are black and yellow and we take pride in that color scheme! One of my favorite cheers at the many football games is “ Black Black Black Black, Yellowellowellowellow!”. When we want to introduce the new generation to our school, let's make sure they know their school's colors. Black and yellow!

When you open the Roosevelt High School website, what immediately comes to your attention? Is it the beautiful and historic Roosevelt facade? Or is it the prominence of our school colors, black and gold.While certain posters around our campus may misinterpret the symbol of our St. John's pride, don’t let them deceive you. According to a poll conducted via our Voices Of Roosevelt Instagram (which you should totally go follow), 80% of respondents believe that our school colors are black and gold. Please continue to represent the Velt by correctly using its brand, black and gold are True North’s true colors.
