Looking forward to learning and doing science experiments with YOU
In August 2020, I completed a 3 day training about best practices in digital learning and took part in a book study of "How To Be An Antiracist" by Ibram Kendi. Last year, I completed a training for AVID. I always work to improve my practice to better meet the needs of my students.
For 2020-2021, we transitioned to a new learning management system called Canvas. We will be continuing with this platform instead of using Google Classroom. All work will be posted to Canvas for absent students to view. Here is a resource from the district with information about how to sign in to my.pps to see all of the district apps, including Canvas.
Want to watch a short video about science? Amoeba Sisters have great videos on many topics.
District supplied: Bring district device and charger each day
Good to have: Pencils, a pencil sharpener, colored pencils and a highlighter are helpful for students when doing projects, loose notebook paper or spiral, binder
Supplies at Beaumont: The school will provide all students with a science notebook. Also, there are textbooks available at school, but there is an online version if the student is absent.
Back to School Night - Looking forward to meeting you and your student on Sept 19th!
Here is a Video I made a couple of years ago about me and my class. I moved things around a bit on this google site, but I hope you find this helpful.
