So you're in third grade!? Or maybe your student is in third grade? Well, we have a lot to do! In third grade we make the transition from learning to read, to reading to learn, we figure out what is REALLY going on with all that addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. We learn the history of our city, how it is run, where it came from, who was here before us, and what kinds of people live here today. In Science we learn about rocks, and ecosystems and all sorts of things. So much to do, and I cannot wait to learn all about you!
But who am I? My name is Samuel Hedine, I am from Oregon and this will be my seventh year teaching. I graduated from Cornell College and am a lifelong learner. Right now I love to practice my Arabic, Spanish, and Hebrew, but am excited to learn about any language. I am also a competitive Swimmer and a map enthusiast.
What I love about Chavez is our school's commitment to equity and inclusion of all students. Regardless of Race, Language, Economic Background, Religion, Family Type, or Ability. We are all just here to learn. If you have any questions, you can of course contact me at shedine@pps.net
