• Mt. Hood Community College Planetarium Field Trip, Tuesday, October 14 

  • Children should pack a sack lunch from home.

  • Let your homeroom teacher know asap if your child will need a lunch provided by the school. 

  • These are the parents that are signed up to chaperone: Jeff (Josie), Celeste (Marvi), Dara (Kai), Eryn (Bob), Rachel (Veja), Ash (Kobe), Celia (Wolfie), Suzi (Amelia), Danielle (Richard) 

  • The trip is from ~9:25-12:45 pm.  Chaperones, please plan to sign in at the office and be in the classroom by 9:15 am. Thanks. We are not able to wait for you, so please be timely. We are likely to need one adult to drive a carful of parents (depending on the size of the bus). 

• Editing Day! Parent Volunteers Needed, Thursday, October 23, 9-11 am and 12:15-1:45 pm

  • We are looking for help editing our final writing assignments for Module 1.  We need parents who are able to come for an hour or so during the slotted time.  You will work 1:1 with a child to correct spelling, punctuation and readability.  You need not be an English teacher to help out!!!! I promise. Reach out to Kristen via email if you can help!!

• Last Day of Module 1: Cultures in Conflict, Wednesday, October 29

• No School/Teacher Work Days, October 30 and 31

• Upcoming Field Trips to the Multnomah County Courthouse/Civics Learning Project, November 

  • We will be sending a permission slip home when dates are confirmed.  And, will reach out for chaperones at that time as well.
