Meet Mr. Kauzer

Hello!

My name is Case Kauzer, I teach 6th grade science, and my pronouns are he/him. I have been teaching middle school science since 2010. I find learning about how the world works to be endlessly fascinating and I am thrilled to be able to share that everyday with students.

My Family

My wife and I live in Portland with our two kids, Emmett and Theo, and our dog Ruby.

My Education

I went to college at UC Santa Cruz in California. I majored in Environmental Studies. Banana slugs can be found all over campus (watch your step!) which explains our mascot Sammy Slug.
I interned at Natural Bridges State Park where I fell in love with teaching.
In addition to my degree in Environmental Studies, I have an MS in Science Education.

My Hobbies

I love riding a bike. Whether it's picking up groceries or riding from Portland to Pacific City, I always feel like the day is a little bit better when I can be on two wheels.
I also love rooting for the Timbers and the San Francisco Giants.
