Paid summer internship program for young people from diverse backgrounds with little or no work history.
You may qualify for the program if you are:
between the ages of 16 and 24
of low income
eligible to work in the US
Applications will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis. The online application form for SummerWorks is now available.
Remember to indicate your high school in your application under “Partner Agency.”
Youth must have a valid email address to apply.
Drug screens and background checks may be required for some positions.
Youth must turn 16 by June 1, 2023, to be eligible for SummerWorks.
$16 per hour.
Construction Pre-Apprenticeship program for 18-26 yr-olds
Equivalent to $15 an hour
Runs every 2 months for 8-9 week sessions in both Multnomah and Washington counties.
Participants graduate with industry-recognized certifications (BOLI, OSHA, CPR/First Aid)
Team of career coaches that will support participants while they are in the program, and for multiple years once they graduate
