I have 12 years in the classroom setting, teaching kindergarten and fourth grade, English Language Development teacher and have spent the last four years as an Instructional Specialist with a focus on mathematics K-5. I have enjoyed continuing to have the opportunity to work with students directly but have thoroughly appreciated learning from colleagues as I am working with them in regards to instruction. Over the years I have developed a deep love for teaching mathematics and seeing the light bulb turn on for students while watching them have fun and fall in love with math too. I am encouraged to continue to help my peers develop deeper understanding of mathematics and mathematics instruction as well as the progression of mathematics standards. The teacher to coach relationship has grown over the last three years and it is safe to say my colleagues value my position, seek my advice and support, and participate in professional learning with me.
