As a district we have committed to an Integrated ELD model.
All PPS schools provide ELD services utilizing a collaborative approach between content educators and ELD specialists.
Educators use grade-level educational core standards in tandem with the English Language Proficiency standards to teach, assess and monitor ML progress on both core and ELP standards. English instruction is provided during the student's core instruction learning alongside English speaking peers.
Over the course of the next 3 school years, educators from each school will participate in a cohort for targeted support and professional learning to ensure educators have the skills, resources and support to fully implement an Integrated ELD model with fidelty and success.
