School Counseling Program's Mission:
Teach skills and attitudes and nurture relationships that create a welcoming and supportive school community where all students, families, and staff want to come every day.
Provide education through a rigorous arts-integrated curriculum designed to engage, excite and empower students. Buckman Elementary School is committed to fostering an inclusive, creative, inquisitive and respectful community of learners.

The Buckman School Counseling Team is committed to fostering a community of compassionate and empathetic critical thinkers, able to collaborate and solve problems and be prepared to lead a more socially just and racially equitable world. Our vision is that our families and students feel honored and seen in our community, and that we provide a school counseling program to engage all students.

* Please note that the school counselor does not provide “therapy”. The counseling that takes place in school is brief and solution-focused. Referrals for outside counseling services are available for additional support.
