As ASL Specialists, we offer American Sign Language (ASL) instruction and support tailored to meet diverse needs for Regionally Eligible students. Our services span multiple settings and initiatives:
In-School Instruction: We provide ASL support directly within classrooms at the preschool, elementary, middle school, and high school levels.
Home-Based Support: Our team conducts home visits to offer personalized ASL instruction, Deaf Culture Awareness, and assistance.
Staff Collaboration: We offer dedicated, specialized support for CRIS staff in providing resources, curriculum & modifications, IFSP/IEP development.
Community Engagement & Events: We host a variety of ASL events designed for students, families, and CRIS staff to foster community and learning.
IEP Meeting Participation: When requested, we actively participate in IFSP/IEP meetings to ensure ASL-related needs are addressed.
ASL Assessments: We conduct thorough expressive and receptive ASL assessments to inform IFSP/IEP development.
Family & Community Resources: We organize regular ASL Family Nights for Regionally eligible students and families, held both in-person and via Zoom, and maintain a comprehensive ASL website for resources.
