Who influenced your professional development?
My Grandmother Gertrude Lauer, whom I never met, influenced me to become a teacher. I heard many stories from her colleagues, friends, and past students about her devotion and tenderness for all of her students. Upon her death in 1981, the Mullica Township School District named a school after her.
What are the most important values in life, in your opinion?
Honesty, respect, and communication are essential for forming and keeping relationships with others. The saying "Treat others like you want to be treated" should be considered by all each and every day.
