We are delighted to announce that the MR2025 International Workshop on Magnetic Reconnection in Space, Solar, Astrophysical and Laboratory Plasmas (2025 US-Japan Workshop on Magnetic Reconnection) will be held for the full 4 days from the noon of Monday March 10 through the noon of Friday March 14, 2025, at Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory (PPPL), Princeton, New Jersey, U.S.
Magnetic reconnection is one of the most important fundamental processes occurring ubiquitously in plasmas found in space, astrophysics, as well as hot laboratory fusion plasmas. In the past decades, the impressive progress has been accomplished through strong cross-disciplinary exchanges of new ideas and collaborations between laboratory, space, and astrophysical plasma communities, as well as between experiment/observation and theory/computation. These exchanges largely take place in cross-disciplinary meetings such as the MR workshop series. This meeting will be the latest one of the series. We welcome researchers from around the world to come to share and discuss their latest results and ideas.
