UNDERSTANDING FUSION PLASMAS,

NUCLEAR ENERGY AND NUCLEAR ARMS CONTROL

A Symposium addressing Rob Goldston’s research interests

March 19-20, 2020

Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory

Melvin B. Gottlieb (MBG) Auditorium

We are delighted to announce that we are holding a Robert Goldston Symposium - which will be held in Princeton, New Jersey on Thursday, March 19 and Friday, March 20. The purpose of the symposium is to provide a unique survey of plasma physics problems important for fusion, nuclear non-proliferation and arms control. In particular, emphasis will be placed on the current status and future prospects on these applications of research. This symposium will be in honor of the scientific contributions of Professor Robert Goldston, who, in his 48+ year career, has made significant innovative contributions and is a leader in these and other areas.

The Goldston Symposium is generously supported by PPPL (Director’s Office), Princeton University (Department of Astrophysical Sciences) and the Office of Princeton University Vice President for PPPL.
