Sergei Tretiak is a Laboratory Fellow of Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL). He received his Chemistry doctorate in 1998 from the University of Rochester. He was then a postdoctoral fellow (1999-2001) and subsequently became a staff scientist at Los Alamos and a member of the DOE-funded Center for Integrated Nanotechnologies (CINT). He became an American Physical Society Fellow (APS) in 2014, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC) in 2019, and a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) in 2023. He has also received the Humboldt Research Award (2021), the Los Alamos Postdoctoral Distinguished Mentor Award (2015) and the Los Alamos Fellow's Prize for Research (2010). Tretiak has published more than 400 articles, been cited over 35,000 times (h-index=90) and presented more than 400 invited and keynote talks in the United States and abroad.
