Reading Sharing Party

Every year, S.2 and S.3 students share books with their fellow schoolmates in the reading sharing parties.

Academic Challenge

Before tests or exams, teachers always say that the assessment criteria will be based on certain chapters and “your prior knowledge”. To senior form students, their “prior knowledge” most likely refers to what they have learnt in junior forms. However, how much do they still remember?

Needless to say, it is always important that students carry what they have learnt in the junior form as a solid foundation to assist their learning in senior years. To pinpoint this message, the Library organised the Junior X Senior Academic Challenge on 13 March, jointly with the Academic Committee and ECA Section.

Junior form (S.1-3) students were invited to draft questions based on the curricula of their current years and/or their existing knowledge on three core subjects, Chinese Language, English Language and Mathematics. Then senior form students (S.4-5) will send representatives to join the competition in an inter-house basis. Both junior and senior students enjoyed the competition. Lotus House was the champion, while Daisy and Rose came second.

Reading Talk and Book Fair

Ms. Fan, a former Teacher Librarian, recommended inspiring books to students during the reading talk. A book fair was held immediately after the talk to encourage reading.
