From July 11th to July 15th, 2025, the SEED2STEM project partners gathered in Sofia, Bulgaria for the 3rd Transnational Project Meeting, kindly hosted by WalkTogether Bulgaria. This meeting marked a key milestone in the project’s lifecycle, as partners focused on the implementation of the final Work Package (WP5) dedicated to the AGRO STEM Game.
The AGRO STEM Game represents an innovative approach to non-formal education, combining STEM learning and sustainable agriculture through engaging, youth-friendly methodologies. Its goal is to inspire young people, strengthen STEM competences, and present agriculture as a modern, dynamic, and future-oriented field.
The first day of Learning Mobility 3 marked the official start of an intensive working week within the SEED2STEM: Planting the Future of Education project. Hosted in Bansko, Bulgaria by our partner organisation WalkTogether Bulgaria, the day focused on reflection, validation, and the transition toward the project’s final development phase.
Day 1 was dedicated to:
presenting the key project results achieved so far
aligning all partners on the current stage of implementation
officially introducing the 4th and final project result
Participants revisited the journey of the project, from early development to the point where tools are ready for testing, validation, and real-life use in youth work contexts.
A central highlight of the day was the presentation of the final SEED2STEM result: AGRO STEM Digital Game.
Game is designed as innovative educational tools that combine STEM concepts, sustainable agriculture as well as game-based and non-formal learning methodologies
They are specifically tailored for youth workers and educators working with young people across Europe.
Following the presentation, partners and youth workers engaged in active testing sessions of digital game format.
The focus was on: gameplay and mechanics, educational value and learning outcomes, usability in non-formal education settings as well as adaptability to different youth groups and contexts
The expert feedback collected during these sessions will directly inform the refinement, improvement, and final production of the AGRO STEM games.
Day 1 set a strong foundation for the mobility by reinforcing the project’s collaborative approach. By involving partners as co-creators and testers, SEED2STEM ensures that its final outputs are practical and user-oriented, engaging for young people as well as ready for implementation in real educational environments
The day concluded with a shared understanding that Learning Mobility 3 represents a key moment in the project’s lifecycle—shifting from development to quality assurance, validation, and impact-driven dissemination.
The second day of the activity was dedicated to testing the AGRO STEM board game, which was developed based on the existing AGRO STEM digital game and enriched with upgraded rules and mechanics.
Participants were first introduced to the board game materials and were given the task of independently exploring, analysing, and discussing the game rules within their groups. This self-guided approach encouraged critical thinking, collaboration, and a deeper understanding of the game logic before gameplay began.
Following the rule analysis, participants moved into the testing phase, where they applied the rules in practice by playing the game. This hands-on session allowed them to experience the educational and gameplay dynamics firsthand and to identify strengths, challenges, and potential areas for improvement.
The day concluded with a structured feedback session. Participants shared their observations, suggestions, and reflections, which were systematically collected. This feedback will serve as a valuable input for the Pozitiva Samobor team, who will revise the game after the mobility and prepare its final version.
As a result of this process, the board game print materials will be made available to organizations as an open educational resource. All game printouts will be uploaded to the AGRO STEM platform, which serves as the project’s main resource hub. This will enable interested organizations and individuals to download and use the game in their youth work and educational activities.
