Welcome to the Rolling Hills Elementary School counseling website! We have created this site to give a better understanding of the services that are available to help students and families succeed in school, and in life! Pete Sterk is the Rolling Hills Counselor. Mr. Sterk has been with Rolling Hills Elementary since 2021.
Mr. Sterk teaches Second Step social/emotional lessons with our 4th and 5th grade classes, leads small groups, meets with individual students, and oversees the school's No Place for Hate and Hope Squad programs.
Mr. Sterk is a proud father to two daughters (6th grade and 4th grade) and enjoys rock climbing, surfing, hiking, cooking, and yoga.
Florence Chang is the Rolling Hills Student Services Assistant. Ms. Chang has been with Rolling Hills Elementary since 2021.
As a former teacher, Ms. Chang teaches Second Step social-emotional lessons with our TK-3rd grade classes, supports students' behavioral and social development through one-on-one and group instruction, and guides students with successful problem solving strategies.
Outside of Rolling Hills, Ms. Chang loves traveling with her two children, cooking, going to the beach, and crafting.
