A message from Principal Richard Nash
Welcome Back, Titans!
I am excited to share this virtual Back to School Night experience with you. This fall we began school with students fully back on campus. I am proud of PHS Teachers for the effort and excellence I see every day. I am inspired by the connections our teachers and staff have made with students and families. We are dedicated to giving our students the best education available and will continue to do so.
This year, PHS Teachers are focusing on strengthening our ownership of Teaching and Learning. Our teachers have started an intensive series of Professional Development to refine content lessons to include more meaningful opportunities for our students to critically think through a task. We want our students to increase their ability to transfer content knowledge to real-world applications.
I speak for my staff and teachers when I say we are deeply affected by what we have seen and heard in our community. We are dedicated to equity and access for every student. We will show this dedication and sensitivity in every action, activity, and interaction. We hear you. We are Titans and we stand together.
Lastly, I have come to count on the Poway PTSA and the Foundation for their support of my efforts to provide enrichment and betterment for our students; please take the time to support them. The 2021-2022 school year starts with great promise, as our Titans continue to shine, our future is bright! We will do this together because we are strong, Poway Strong!
