This page promotes the challenge for the whole POVEDA community to use the language of virtues . This will help create a positive environment, online and on campus.
Speaking the Language of Virtues is the first strategy of The Virtues Project (see https://virtuesproject.com/ ). POVEDA is adapting this strategy to the school's context. That is why the focus is on the use of the Povedan Core Values (PCVs).
A certain format is followed to speak virtues/ PCV statements. Each statement should have both the specific virtue or value that is being practiced/ needs to be practiced AND the specific action that is done or needed to be done. Being specific helps the listener know what to do and how to do it. This also separates the action from the doer, upholding the dignity of the individual in the process.
The video on PCVs and the list of different virtues may help you in starting your PCV statements.
