Reading Awards
Each month the library will recognize the top readers (each grade level, 6-8) in the following categories:
Arkansas Teen Award - information and vote here - the top student from each grade level that has read the most books on the nominee list (and taken an AR test) will earn the spot for this award each month.
Charlie Mae Simon Award - information and vote here - the top student from each grade level that has read the most books on the nominee list (and taken an AR test) will earn the spot for this award each month.
Genre Bingo - the stop student from each grade level that have read the most out of the genres on your Genre Bingo card. Be sure to keep it in your English binder and make a section for library "stuff"
Each month there will also be a TOP CLASS from the whole school - based on the total number of books read per class! Prize TBD
Links to surveys will need to be completed as part of the GETTING TO KNOW YOU activities in the library. This information will be shared with English teachers and any other teachers that would like this background information.
