Natural Bridges Docents

Martha is an incredibly passionate interpreter with a near encyclopedic knowledge of interpretive projects, programs, events, and history in the Santa Cruz District.  Having worked at Natural Bridges State Beach and numerous prior public outdoor spaces with NPS and State in interpretation for decades, Martha is excellent at designing experiences which support visitors to engage with Natural Bridges State Beach. 

Martha grew up tidepooling at NB and now all over the world. She likes to spend her off-time learning new habitats, international folk dancing, singing in the 5 Ms band, flying planes with Mark, camping.

Hey! I was a Friends Fellow at Castle Rock State Park and Portola Redwoods State Park. I worked with the interpretive team to help develop, research and conduct equitable, inclusive interpretive programs for school groups and the public. 

I have been super fortunate to have grown up in the Santa Cruz area and Colorado, getting the best of both worlds when it comes to outdoor adventures. I love exploring the outdoors and being creative in my off-time.

I am excited to join the team here at Natural Bridges, to be able to be a part of our fantastic programs that we get to share with everyone.
