Hello! I am Ms. Codere (formerly Ms. Rivis), and I'm an English Language Learner teacher at Talbot Community School. This is my eighth year teaching in Portland Public Schools, and I am proud to be a part of the Talbot community. I was born and raised in Vermont and earned a B.A. in Visual Art with a minor in Sociology at the University of Vermont. After traveling around the United States and Europe, I settled in Portland, knowing instantly it would be my new home. At the University of Southern Maine, I completed a Master of Science in Teaching and Learning and a Certificate of Graduate Study in teaching English as a second language. My hobbies include art, travel, reading, yoga, exploring nature, and snuggling with my two cats. I am lucky to teach Talbot students, and I am perpetually excited to share my passion for teaching and learning with my students every day. Thank you for visiting my page!
