Links for independent reading at HOME !

This year students are expected to read for 30 minutes each remote learning day. Below are some options of FREE websites that will help students choose a reading option if they do not have a book! Click on the underlined name of the website and it will link you to the website. A reminder: other assignments and work are posted on google classroom.

Storyline Online Check out these books read aloud by some famous people you may recognize! Just remember if you listen to a book to also read a book to your self as well!

Portland Public Libary Once at PPLclick on eLibrary tab and then click Tumblebooks. HUGE selection of books online. Including Graphic Novels.

GET EPIC Provides access to 35,000 books! Students will need a class code. Teachers will be sending email links to families! If you need the code please contact your child's homeroom teacher! Teachers will be able to assign books and monitor how many pages studnets are reading per minute!

International Children's Digital Library A great resource of free books. In the upper ritght hand corner you can even change the language! All the books are read to self!


ABCYA Listen to short stories read aloud to them as they follow along with the highlighted text. You can also play educational games in addition to the featured stories. Many activities to choose from!

Story Nory original, fairy tale, and classic children’s audio stories. Students can follow along with the story as it is read to them, as the text is also included on the site. Transaltions to different languages for some stories.
