Our mission is to give students the tools to: intelligently discuss and engage in a wide variety of music, understand music and the other fine arts within a historical and social context, and to become life-long learners, performers, and supporters of music. The Portland music program aims to foster self-esteem, sympathetic & empathetic skills, cooperation, organization, and professionalism in our students, which will benefit them greatly in every aspect of their lives.
