Recital FAQ
How do I buy Tickets, and how much do they cost?
Our Recital performances are FREE to attend! The full cost of recital has already been paid for with your recital performance fees. We are so happy to have found a way to give our dancers a professional quality experience, while keeping costs for families at an absolute minimum.
Can I invite friends and family?
Absolutely! IMPORTANT NOTE : Our audience seating is VERY LIMITED. We are keeping our shows as small as possible, to allow for more room for invited guests. We would love for our dancers to perform to a packed house. Please be aware, however, that the house might be full. Standing in the back will be allowed.
Is the venue handicap accessible?
Our parking lot has limited accessible parking spaces. These are located at the very front entrance to the parking lot, before you head down hill. You might need to drop off any attendees who aren't able to safely take stairs before heading down to the parking lot. The top entrance has a ramp; unfortunately our venue doesn't have an elevator. We set aside space for wheelchair seating, but you can reach out and let us know in advance if we need to make any seating accommodations for your family that might take some extra planning. We're happy to help!
Will the show be recorded and/or live-streamed?
Yes! Each of our performances will be recorded, and all dance families will get access to that recording. If you think you'll be using your phone to record any part of this recital, please refrain from seating in the first half of the audience. Each performance will be live-streamed on ZOOM as well. We'll have those links available.
Can I reserve seating for my family in advance?
All seating will be first-come, first served, and can not be saved between shows. The theatre will be well packed, so audience members will be asked to not leave empty space between parties. Please arrive with your entire party.
How long are the performances?
All of our Performances should be about 90 minutes long.
Do I have to stay for the entire show, even if my dancer has already performed?
YES. All dancers are kept safely backstage during the entirety of each show, and for safety reasons need to remain backstage. Plus, all dancers participate in either a curtain call or finale dance - so they aren't technically finished until the end. We want to have a full audience for each entire show, so that dancers at the end of a show have just as large and enthusiastic a crowd as the beginning. No dancer will be let out early.
How early should I arrive for my dancers performance?
Dancers can be checked in no earlier than 15 minutes before their show, and should be checked in no later than 5 minutes before their show. Dancers who have costume changes should arrive as early as possible so our backstage volunteers can assess their needs and get them situated. Please don't arrive earlier than needed! Our parking lot can only accommodate one show at a time, so if you arrive early, you might not find parking.
Should my child arrive in costume, or can they get dressed at the Theatre?
All dancers should ARRIVE in costume. We will have dressing rooms, and backstage volunteers to help those students who need to change costumes between dances. There will not be time/space for dancers to change into their 1st costume, so all dancers need to arrive ready to perform. If your dancer is in more than one dance in the same show, please have them arrive in their 1st costume.
Can I be backstage with my dancer?
We have plenty of parent volunteers for this year's show. So, please enjoy the show from the audience!
When my child is not dancing, can they sit in the audience with me?
NO. For safety reasons, ALL dancers will remain backstage during the ENTIRE performance (including intermissions). Our backstage staff and volunteers need to know where all dancers are at all times, and there will be no mechanism for early release - NO EXCEPTIONS. We recognize the importance of young dancers being able to watch other performances, so we make a huge effort to allow dancers to watch the show from backstage when time/scheduling allows.
Should I provide snacks for my child?
All dancers should be well fed before they arrive for their performance. We will have water and emergency snacks backstage for those dancers who will need them. However, because we don't want to run the risk of spills and stains on our costumes, eating while in costume must be kept to a minimum.
