Preparation for the 3rd Marking Period

January 25th

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Thank you to everyone for making your choice for the 3rd Marking Period. Our teaching staff is hard at work, getting ready for the HyFlex Model. Right now, we are planning on the HyFlex Model to begin on Monday, January 25th. A decision will be made on Monday, January 18th, if this will stay the start date. If we don't start on the 25th, we will continue our current model of instruction, and each week on Mondays, a decision will be made about starting the HyFlex for the following week.

As teachers prepare, they will be completing Professional Development to continue to provide high-quality instruction for all of our students in this HyFlex Model. To allow this to happen, we will be making a change in the students' schedule for the week of January 18th. Please See Below.

Is your student going to be absent from one of their virtual classes?

Please contact the office to report your child's absence from their virtual class. You can call 269-323-5800 or email jphan@portageps.org

Is open each school day from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM for pick-ups and drop-offs.


Student Chromebook Repairs - Click Here

All Student Chromebook repairs must fill out the Tech Department form including students in the building.

WMS Media Center

Students may check out up to 3 WMS library books by filling out the WMS Library Book Request form found on the WMS Library Media Center homepage or in any ELA Google Classroom. After filling out the form, students will receive an email indicating their books are ready for pickup. After receiving the email, books can be picked up in the main entrance at WMS between the hours of 8:00am and 5:00 pm. If students still have library books checked out from last year, please return those to school as soon as possible. We will accept library books from any PPS school and return them to their correct location. Thank you! Contact Mrs. Shook at kshook@portagesp.org with any questions.
