Senior Pictures are an opportunity for our 12th grade students to have a special headshot included in the yearbook. It is a time that they may showcase their personality in a way that their school composite photos have not previously done.

Please Note: Professional Senior photos are OPTIONAL. If a student does not take or submit a professional photograph, their school composite photo will be used.

When should we get Senior Pictures taken?

Great Question! Senior pictures are typically taken during the summer before senior year OR very early in the fall.

When do students need to submit their Senior Picture for the yearbook?

Senior photos are due on November 1st.

Can I turn in my Senior Picture late?

Unfortunately, no. Due to our publication deadlines, we cannot accept late Senior Pictures and guarantee they are included in the yearbook. Therefore, our hard cut-off date is November 1st.

What if I don't have my Senior Pictures ready by the deadline due to ... (late scheduling, photographer issues, etc...)?

We understand that issues sometimes arise due to many factors regarding Senior Pictures. That is why we ask that all Seniors get their photos taken at school for picture day to ensure that everyone has a professionally captured picture in the yearbook. If we have neither a submitted Senior Picture nor a school photo, students will be listed by name only in the "Not Pictured" section.

Senior Photo Guidelines:

Background: Seniors can choose ANY background or style for the yearbook. Please be cautious when selecting outdoor photos. Backgrounds (trees, rocks, flowers, etc.) should not block the view of the student. Traditional backgrounds are preferred.

The photo MUST BE A HEADSHOT

Headshots are defined as a photo that focuses on a person's face, usually including the shoulders.

Senior must be centered in the photo.
Full face view/ facing the camera/ both eyes visible; Headshots only
Full-color photos ONLY; no black and white or sepia tones
Standard, classical, and traditional head/shoulder pose
Clothing/outfit follows all guidelines of the PNHS dress code (per student handbook)

NO strapless tops

NO ¾ or full-length poses
NO profile or over-the-shoulder poses (see above guidelines on facing)
NO hands near the face; NO knees blocking the body/face.
NO Props--hats, hoods, pets, musical instruments, flowers, cars, etc in photos (holding and/or standing or sitting on)
NO studio imprint on the submitted photos or name/date stamping.
The PNHS Yearbook reserves the right to refuse a photo that does not meet specifications.
