We hope you enjoyed the sunshine this weekend! This week will bring much warmer weather, which will mean a lot of melting snow on our playground. Please continue to send your child to school with appropriate gear to go outdoors. This week Wednesday is Count Day. Please make every effort to avoid scheduling any non-critical, out of school appointments for your child on Wednesday, February 8th. Having all of our students here on that day ensures that Moorsbridge receives the needed state funding so that we can continue our important work together. If you must be out please contact the office to let them know. Thank you for your help!
Have a great week!
February Positive Character Trait: Kindness
-Affection based on admiration or attachment, to hold dear feeling or showing concern for others
-Say and do things that make others happy and encourage everyone.
Arrival/Drop off: A reminder that the first bell to enter the building rings at 8:30 and the tardy bell at 8:35. Entry into the main portion of the building locks at 8:35. If the front doors are closed we ask that you come into the office to sign students in if they are tardy in the morning.
ELECTRONIC DEVICES Students are not permitted to use their cell phones during school hours 8:30 a.m. to 3:40 p.m. Cell phones are to be turned off and stored in the student's locker or backpack at all times. We encourage parents to contact the school office to get messages to their students and refrain from texting or calling the student directly. Students who need to call home during school hours are to come to the office and use the school phone. Students who violate this expectation will have their device put in the office where a parent/guardian may pick it up. This expectation goes for smartwatches and any personal electronic device that has communication and recording capabilities.
Taking a Trip?
Anticipated absences of three (3) or more consecutive days require notification to the Building Principal. Make-up work will be provided once a student returns from the absence unless determined otherwise by the building principal for extenuating circumstances.
With Valentine’s Day approaching, please continue to refrain from sending in candy with any Valentine’s Day cards the kiddos bring in for their classmates. We appreciate you continuing to respect our district-wide snack and birthday policy this year and thank you for helping all of our students stay safe.
