Coil Method

Coil Construction 

One required method of construction is coil constriction. Coils are round, smooth, thin cylindrical forms that when stacked on top of one another and scored and slipped can make beautiful, water-tight vessels. Students will work in groups to create one large coil vessel. The vessel must meet the 8 inch minimum height requirement, have decorative coil elements visible, and have either one or to handles.
