Day 1: The Challenging Teen Years Ahead
Students will identify normal changes of adolescence.
Day 2: Basic Hygiene Practices
Students will identify ways to promote good personal hygiene.
Day 3: Physical Changes during Adolescence
Students will understand the role of hormones (endocrine system) and how it relates to male and female reproductive physiology.
Students will identify the parts and functions of both the male and female reproductive systems.
Day 4: Physical Changes during Adolescence
Continue the discussion on male and female reproductive physiology.
Day 5: Healthy Relationships and Abstinence
Students will understand the value of developing and growing in relationships.
Students will understand the importance of practicing abstinence when it comes to risky behaviors.
Day 6: Respect
Students will be able to list ways to respect themselves and others as it relates to sexuality.
Day 7: HIV/AIDS
Students will understand HIV/AIDS: how it is spread, levels of infection and prevention.
Day 8: Decision-Making
Students will role-play steps in making good decisions (refusal skills)
