Improving Student Engagement of Assessment Support
As part of a review of the Learning Development and Academic Skills in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, the decision was made to centralise resources onto a single Moodle Page to support students' assessment. To address this development, a collaborative group was formed between Academic and Digital Innovation, UPSU and HSS Learning Development to use the opportunity to create highly engaging and co-created resources that are highly engaging for Generation Z Learners. This presentation will highly how the project team have created assessment support materials that meet engagement preferences of micro-content and lean communications. The project engaged the Senior Learning Designer to maximise the potential of Moodle, UPSU’s HSS Student Voice Team to engage in student feedback, and built on the recommendations of student engagement research in Academic Development. This session will share the project story as well as the new resources which will be demonstrated to delegates.
