Authentic Assessment and Student Employability
Attendees of this session will have the chance to discover effective methods for incorporating authentic assessments in their programmes from a very experienced and successful course team. Marketing courses stand out with authentic assessments featured in all marketing modules, consistently yielding impressive graduate outcomes, with 88% of graduates securing professional roles. We employ various strategies and collaborate with various live clients, ranging from major corporations like SHEIN and IBM to smaller and medium-sized organisations such as Goodwood or Grow Transform Belong, on authentic assessments. Feedback on our authentic assessment approach has been overwhelmingly positive among both postgraduate (PG) and undergraduate (UG) students. As such, participants will gain insights into identifying opportunities for integrating authentic assessments into courses, strategies for integrating them into course design, and tactics for avoiding mistakes that may impact student experiences negatively. We will facilitate brainstorming exercises to generate ideas for diverse authentic assessments and co-create a template for best practices.
