Student Partnership Impact (SPIA) Awards
Daisy Bao (On behalf of SEDA)
Student voice, representation and partnership opportunities are increasingly common features of higher education in the UK and internationally, as evidenced through networks, conferences and publications. Students are being given the opportunities and agency to support and lead educational change. Their activities in this area may be recognised locally through their Higher Education Achievement Record (HEAR) but there is currently no national recognition available through an appropriate professional organisation.
However, SEDA, in collaboration with Jisc, have developed the Student Partnership Impact Award (SPIA) as an international recognition of students who have had impact at their universities relating to Educational Development. SEDA are open to applications (short, online application form) from students and graduates (up to 12 months) from across Higher Education to celebrate the success of students engaged in educational developments. We would like to take this opportunity to share with colleagues and students what the SPIA awards are about, guidelines for the award, and how students, staff, and institutions can get involved with the Awards scheme.
