Former Degree Apprentices
The Degree Apprentices' Experience: Reflections and personal accounts of degree apprentices who have successfully completed the apprenticeship programme.
This session will provide an insight into the learning journey experienced by former degree apprentices who have completed the programme and are now using their new knowledge, skills and behaviours in their own professional practice. Following a short personal introduction, each former degree apprentice will address one aspect of the apprenticeship programme in a discussion with the host. Once all four former degree apprentices have presented, there will be the opportunity to ask any questions related to their individual journeys and attain a unique perspective on the delivery of the programme from someone with first-hand experience.
The aims of the session are to:
Describe how the DA programme differs from the traditional study route
Identify the benefits of this study method
Recognise the importance of employer engagement in the process
Recognise how Degree Apprentices can bring additional value to lectures when attending with full time students
