Personal Tutoring Colloquium

The keynote presentation will provide a model for future ways of working for advising and tutoring, informed by evidence from two global benchmarking reviews (2020, 2021) involving 25 higher education institutions. The significant impact from COVID-19, has dramatically changed the way things are done across higher education.  Dr Sara Booth, Academic Director, Online Peer Solutions Pty Ltd., has been involved in external review of 215 higher education institutions worldwide. 

The presentation will provide examples of personal tutoring practice across the globe, including conversation starters as key takeaways to discuss across student and staff teams. 

The aims of the session are to:

• Identifying examples of personal tutoring practice to inform your own individual practice as as personal tutor

• Discussing different ways of working with students to strengthen institutional practice 

• Identifying areas for future development which involves real-time data to support, improve and showcase practice
