As an institution of education, we have legislative responsibility to comply with the Equality Act 2010 and obligation to ensure our online content is ‘perceivable, operable, understandable and robust’ as required by the Accessibility Regulations 2018. However, what does it mean and what do we need to do? It is like a new language that we are learning to speak. This session will explore what is this new ‘language’, why and how to use it to write or rewrite our learning and teaching content so that all students can engage in learning and benefitted regardless of any impairment they may have.
