Introduction to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion in HE

This session is designed for teaching staff new to Higher Education.

This workshop will introduce the landscape of inequality in the UK and Identify how this can be perpetuated in Higher Education.

Participants will receive some contextual knowledge regarding UoP Awarding Gaps and introduced to the range of L and T activities that are designed to tackle these.

Aims of the Session

• Introduce the landscape of Inequality in the UK.

• To help educators recognize how inequality is perpetuated in Higher Education

• Recognise how EDI is integral to your role as module or course leader

• Provide some contextual knowledge underpinning EDI agendas and upon which to build continued commitment to EDI and inclusion practices in all teaching and learning activities
