As many colleagues from across the University have discovered, Padlet (see uop.padlet.org) is an intuitive and easy to use collaborative digital space to facilitate student engagement and participation.
The aim of this workshop is to provide a refresher for those colleagues that have yet to fully take advantage of Padlet as a tool for collaborative learning. The session will demonstrate a range of opportunities to show how Padlet can be used creatively to support student engagement. Colleagues are welcome to share examples of their own Padlets or bring along an idea for an activity that they would like to use Padlet for and need guidance.
Due to the interactive nature of activities in this session, colleagues need to have created their own Padlet account in advance.
Session Aims
The aims of this session are to:
Work through live examples of how to use Padlet to facilitate asynchronous and synchronous group activity
Illustrate the functionality in Padlet, such as how to integrate video and YouTube as the basis of discussion and student engagement
Provide a creative space for colleagues to seek guidance about developing their own Padlets for specific learning activities
