The aim of this introductory workshop is to share thinking and discuss the pedagogy behind the University's underpinning principles for blended and connected learning. The workshop will explore staff perceptions of the characteristics and features of a module that reflects the pedagogic principles of blended and connected learning, and to identify the critical success factors underpinning its successful design and delivery, focusing specifically on active blended learning.
This session is particularly targeted towards new staff at the University who are not completely familiar with the principles for Blended and Connected Learning.

Identify the critical success factors underpinning blended and connected learning - referencing the importance of active blended Learning (ABL) in terms of overall design, delivery and evaluation
Discuss the key characteristics and features of a module that reflects the principles of blended and connected learning - drawing in ABL
Create a common vision and guiding principles for blended and connected learning
