A Beginner's Guide to Using the Moodle Template

This session provides an introductory look at practical considerations for teaching online, paying particular attention to the UoP module templat. We will look at the principles of blended learning, Moodle template, and mechanisms and tools to support academics and students through this process.

Session Aims

• Be able to identify different delivery methods for teaching at distance (flipped, blended, and flexible)

• Understand how to use the UoP module template

• Be able to describe how regular knowledge check activities can improve distance teaching

• Be able to identify which key components of online teaching can be retained when face-to-face teaching resumes
