In many instances, as an engineer, I like to get into a laboratory to do some practical work building circuits and similar. It can also be useful, when designing a system, to perform simulation. Simulation can give us an insight into the working of a circuit or other system. A commonly used software that can help us understand electronic circuits is LTSpice which is available for free from a famous electronics manufacturer called Analog Devices (see here).
