Simple ANALOGUE Circuit Analysis with LTSpice

In many instances, as an engineer, I like to get into a laboratory to do some practical work building circuits and similar. It can also be useful, when designing a system, to perform simulation. Simulation can give us an insight into the working of a circuit or other system. A commonly used software that can help us understand electronic circuits is LTSpice which is available for free from a famous electronics manufacturer called Analog Devices (see here).

Here are a collection of short videos demonstrating some simple circuit analysis tasks using LTSpice:

• Creating a simple voltage divider with two resistors and analysing the resulting circuit using a DC operating point in LTSpice.

• A similar task to above but analysis now performed using DC transient analysis in LTSpice.

• Again, same circuit but using an AC signal (time varying).

• A new circuit consisting of a resistor and a capacitor analysed using AC analysis (frequency domain) using LTSpice.

• Looking at how the signal drops off in a resistor and capacitor circuit.
