The Portsmouth AWE programme is coordinated by the University of Portsmouth and delivered by a team of external training providers. All our trainers are women with experience of running their own business while facing additional barriers, so they really understand what it's like for our participants.

Meet the Training Team

Sara Guiel - Lead Trainer

Sara Guiel is Co-Founder and Co-Director of My Networking Club (MNC), a multi-award-winning, business membership club set up to facilitate effortless and effective networking for family-led businesses.

Sara originally joined the AWE training delivery team in 2021 and we're delighted that she has been able to come on board again!

Amy Doyle - Women's Enterprise Advisor

Amy Doyle has been working in various roles for the AWE project since March 2019. 

Amy has been working with women-led businesses since 2014 when she founded Portsmouth's Female Entrepreneurs Network.

In June 2021 Amy founded her own company, The Lark Network, to provide support to women looking to start their own business or get back into employment.  

Amy is now re-joining the AWE team as both the Women's Enterprise Advisor and a trainer for the workshop programme.

Sass Adams - Social Media Expert

Having provided social media support to the AWE project throughout 2021, we're delighted that Sass Adams will be joining the training team for the new programme!

Sass will be putting her social media expertise to good use developing 2 new social media workshops as part of the new offering. 

Meet the University of Portsmouth Team

Zoe Dann - Project Lead and Principal Investigator

Zoe leads the Accelerating Women’s Enterprise Project at University of Portsmouth, managing both the research and the support packages for women.

Alongside the AWE project, Zoe is also the Associate Dean of Students in the Faculty of Business and Law. 

Courtney Elkins - Project Coordinator

Courtney the Project Coordinator for the Accelerating Women’s Enterprise Project at the University of Portsmouth. 

Alongside the AWE project, Courtney is also a Senior Administrator and PA to the Head of the Law School.

Georgiana Busoi - Academic Lead, Training & Mentoring

Georgiana is a Senior Teaching Fellow in Marketing and Course Leader for BA International Business. 

Georgiana puts her expertise to good use supporting the development of the AWE training and mentoring programme. She also contributes to the AWE research projects.
