Paying for College
You can find general information about financial aid, including the FAFSA, state-wide scholarship and grant programs, and links to institution-specific scholarships below.
Step 1:
Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)! The FAFSA is how you provide the information college Financial Aid offices need to determine what aid you qualify for. The FAFSA is available starting on October 1st. Learn more by visiting Get 2 College's website.
Step 2:
Determine if you qualify for state aid. The State of Mississippi has three programs to help students pay for college; MTAG, MESG and HELP. Learn more on Get 2 College's website.
Step 3:
Visit the Financial Aid website for the colleges you are interested in attending to learn about their institution-specific scholarship programs. You can find links to the Financial Aid websites of six colleges PHS students commonly attend below.
Step 4:
Search for other scholarships you can apply for. Click the image on the right to access a list of other scholarship opportunities and scholarship search engines.
