Middle School Spanish at Pope John XXIII
The Spanish Classes for middle schoolers are designed to develop communication skills in Spanish and to make comparisons and connections to Spanish-speaking cultures with the goal of encouraging understanding and acceptance of differences. Life in various Spanish-speaking countries will be examined. Correct pronunciation and writing receive emphasis. Students learn to express and understand receptive ideas on topics such as common conversational phrases, vocabulary using numbers, calendar and weather, descriptions and likes and dislikes.
We will be using a new book called "Reporteros Internacionales", a series of books for six, seventh and eight graders that will help the students to get closer to the Spanish world.
