Ms. Daley's Reading Lab

 

What is the Reading Lab?

The Reading Lab is a place where students work 1:1 or in small groups with me, Ms. Daley, to hone their literacy skills.  Through various individualized, targeted interventions in an informal classroom setting, students are encouraged to take risks in their learning to gain the confidence they need to succeed.  Students with specific and/or unique learning and testing needs are accommodated in the Reading Lab.

 

 

 

About ms. Daley

Welcome to the Reading Lab!  I'm Ms. Daley, and I am excited to begin my eighth year as Reading Specialist at PJ23 School.  I have over twenty-five years of experience within the educational field working with students from PK through adulthood in various capacities including reading specialist, second grade teacher (at PJ23!), reading and mathematics lab director, supplemental educational services teacher, professional development consultant, and tutor.  I received my B.A. in Elementary Ed from the University of Illinois at Chicago and my M.A. in Reading from Northeastern Illinois University.  I hold both Reading Specialist and Middle School mathematics endorsements.

I enjoy working with individuals and small groups of students of various backgrounds, grades, and abilities to empower them to reach their academic goals.  I am looking forward to seeing some familiar faces and getting to know my new students!  😊

My spare time is filled with reading, exercising, cooking, traveling, watching movies, solving all sorts of puzzles, and chauffeuring my teenage daughter all over Chicago!
