96 - 00 Honda Civic K-Swap
August - November 2022
One of my goals was to swap an engine. After researching multiple different engines, chassis', and aftermarket support I decided to go with putting a K-series engine into a late 90's Honda Civic. This decision was the most cost effective swap with a huge amount of aftermarket support and abundance of OEM parts that are budget friendly and readily available to get the engine fitted and running smoothly.
The engine is a K20A2 from an 02-04 Acura RSX Type-S mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. The swap was previously done in the red car with all the necessary aftermarket components which saved time and shipping costs for new parts.
All work was done at my home garage with the help of my father and occasionally some family members for extra spotters while hoisting the engines in and out of the vehicles. Not a single one of us are close to being a mechanic, just people with an interest in automotive.

Installing Air Conditioning
July 2022
During the hot months of the year I caved in and decided to source all the necessary A/C components for my car. Originally, my vehicle came from the factory without any A/C (yay 90's cars) so I sourced, installed, and charged the system with the following components and refrigerant.
A/C Compressor
Evaporator + Expansion Valve
Condenser
Receiver
A/C Hardlines
HC-12a Refrigerant
Retrofitting Acura Integra Seats
June 2022
I retrofitted some Acura Integra front seats into my Honda Civic of the same year. This required the inner seat rail to be carried over from the Civic to the Integra seats to be properly mounted with all four bolts into the chassis. The Integra seats provide extra side bolstering, lower seating position, and additional lumbar support.
As a smaller project overall it has been the most impactful in driver feel and comfort for everyday driving. By far my favourite modification done to my car.

Rear Subframe Brace + Anti Sway Bar
April 2022
The first project done to my civic was an ASR rear subframe brace with a 24mm sway bar to help reduce body roll and keep the car balanced in turns. While running a rear sway bar it is essential to reinforce the subframe as its common for the sway bar torsion to tear through chassis.
