How does IT at Pool Academy work?
We use Google systems as our main platform for email, document creation and storage.
You will receive your email address & password when you start, it is unqiue to you, please keep it safe.
Additionally the different subjects will use software to support your learning, these can be accessed on the Student Links page
What devices do I use to access these systems?
Most systems we use are browser based, meaning you can access them from any device using Chrome or Edge. In school this might be a computer, iPad or Chromebook.
At home you can use any device you have including a mobile phone.

Many of our systems require you to 'Log in with Google'
If you are doing this on your own device where you are already logged in to Google, it will try and log you in with your own personal account.
We recommend either adding the school account to your device so you can switch to it or log in with Incognito/Private mode using your school Google account

Cyber Security
The security of your children’s data and our school systems is a vital part of our commitment to cyber security. We ask both students and parents to report any digital concerns immediately. If a student receives a suspicious email, encounters a link that seems unsafe, notices any strange account activity, or finds a system that appears compromised, please do not click anything or try to resolve the issue yourself. Your immediate report is the fastest and most crucial step in preventing a threat. Please report any suspected cybersecurity incident directly to the school's main number or ask your child to tell their teacher or the IT team.
