About PTHS Bands

The Pontiac Township High School Bands are under the direction of Kevin Valois, Director of Bands, and Hailey Woock, Assistant Director of Bands. The Color Guard program is led by Heather Christenson, Guard Instructor. 

At Pontiac, all band students participate in Marching Band, Symphonic or Concert Band, and have the option to join Jazz Band, Percussion Ensemble, Chamber Ensembles, Madrigal Brass, and Madrigal Recorders. Students also have the flexibility to form their own chamber groups that perform at concerts and solo and ensemble. Many of the color guard students participate in our ensembles once the marching band season is finished.
