The CALDAM 2022 Conference will take place at Convention Cum Cultural Centre (Guest House-I), Pondicherry University, Puducherry.
How to reach?
The Pondicherry University is located at about 165 km south of Chennai metropolitan city. It is well-connected by road and rail. A small aerodrome exists and flight services would start shortly. There is a sea port which mainly caters to cargo and fishing.
Pondicherry University is situated on the Chennai-Puducherry East Coast Road (ECR). where buses ply frequently from Chennai to Puducherry on the ECR route and stop readily on request, at the University Gate. From Chennai, this is the most convenient route to reach the University.
However, from Chennai, Puducherry can also be reached by NH 45 via. Tindivanam and one should get down at Puducherry Bus Stand and then take a city service to reach the University.
From other southern towns and cities like Bengaluru, Tiruchirappalli, Madurai, Coimbatore, Trivandrum by road/rail, one should get down at Puducherry Bus Stand /Railway Station. By train, one has to get down at Puducherry Railway Station and reach Bus Stand in order to catch a town bus to reach Pondicherry University.
From Puducherry Bus Stand
The Pondicherry University is located at about 11 Kms north of Puducherry Bus Stand and can be reached by town bus. The travelling time is about 35 minutes and the bus fare is Rs.12/-.
Auto rickshaws are also available from Puducherry Town and may charge about Rs.300/- for drop at the University.
